Due to the many global supply chain issues, you may have noticed that our diffusers have been out of stock. Instead of waiting for product and pushing back timelines, our team decided to design and create an all-new Whole Home Scenting Diffuser with updated features, a new app, and a fresh design. Read below for some behind the scenes and a look into our decision-making process.
Setbacks and Decisions
As many businesses around the world, we experienced delays and changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the many changes, shipping and production time hold-ups were prevalent and on-going.
Turning not-so-great news into an opportunity, we decided to do a complete product rebrand and redesign. This had always been on the horizon for our company, but with some extra quarantine time on our hands, we put it into action earlier than we had originally planned.
After listening to customer feedback and doing research, our team began creating the newest model of the Whole Home Diffuser. This brainstorming session was the beginning of an exciting process for all of us.
Starting fresh, we began with the overall design and function of our new diffuser. Our team wanted a diffuser that matched our branding and was customized to what our customers need and value. Following many hours of sketching and gazing over renderings, we replaced the squared design from our previous model and opted for rounded edges and textured surfaces. This brought a youthful, sleek, and modernized designed product that we couldn’t wait to share with our customers.
Not only would the diffuser need to look good, but making sure it functioned properly in every aspect, was a must. Every moving piece was accounted for, including the atomizer which was engineered to be guided effortlessly into its place, making fragrance bottle switch-outs an easy process.
The last model had the screen display on the top of the diffuser, making it difficult to see and touch when the diffuser had to be mounted higher than eye level. This was moved to be on the front of the diffuser and has been designed to be an intuitive and bright touch screen display helping you quickly see your settings and easily make any changes you need to.
Pump and Fan Changes
Most nebulizing diffusers need a pump and fan within the unit to push the fragrance out and into the home. Our newest model is equipped with pump and fan pieces that have increased force and power. These updates ensure that the fragrance can travel even to the very back rooms of your home.
Alongside routine improvements, this app has a completely new interface and connection process than our Arome Homes app that has been used with our past diffuser. The new app will use a Bluetooth signal for the initial connection, which will then seamlessly connect to your homes 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal for a quick and easy onboarding process.
Not only does the Whole Home Scenting App have a new connection process and look but will also have added features that are advanced and user friendly. Scan in fragrances, keep track of schedules, and customize your scenting experience all with a few taps.
This new Whole Home Diffuser is available to pre-order now and will ship within the next couple weeks. While we have loved our old diffuser and everything it has helped us build here at Whole Home Scenting, we are excited to elevate our product line and put our newest model in its place.
